Buy Whole Foods Online, a family-run UK retailer of whole foods and superfoods, needed a better way to reengage visitors and bring customers back to their site. In 2015 their Marketing Director adopted VWO and began using VWO Engage push notifications to test instant, simple communication channels.
Using VWO Engage, Buy Whole Foods Online experimented with timing, messaging and offers: a 17% off washing powder push sent to 736 subscribers drove 49 clicks with most converting, and a Coconut Water notification delivered a 15.2% click-through rate—97 visitors reached the product page and 71 purchased—generating three‑digit revenue from that single message. VWO’s solution and guidance on copy (adding an explicit “CLICK” CTA) helped increase repeat visits, on-site browsing and conversions.
