BluTV, Turkey’s leading subscription-based OTT video-on-demand service, needed to increase the number of visitors who start its 7-day paid trial but found mobile conversion rates were significantly lower than average. Working with Hype (a VWO Certified Partner), BluTV used VWO for A/B and Split URL testing to investigate and address the mobile shortfall.
Hype and BluTV redesigned the mobile homepage—simplifying the header, highlighting key value propositions and pricing in the hero, promoting popular content, adding an FAQ section and subtle animations—and ran a Split URL test in VWO. Over 19 days and 89,290 visitors the new variation lifted mobile subscription trial sign-ups by over 42%, after which BluTV rolled the page live and continued using VWO for ongoing optimization.
