Bag Servant A/B Tests To Increase Its Conversions

Bag Servant, an online retailer offering curated handbags and interactive customization, faced low click-throughs to its affiliate product partners and identified a lack of on-site credibility as a key barrier to conversions. To address this, Bag Servant used VWO’s A/B testing platform to explore ways to boost trust and increase conversions.

Using VWO, Bag Servant A/B tested trust elements on its homepage—replacing a 4,000+ Twitter follower badge with a prominent WOW endorsement badge—and tracked visits to affiliate sites, site engagement, and product exploration. The VWO-run test delivered a 72.05% increase in visits to affiliate websites (28% statistical confidence), a 10.27% uplift in site engagement (98% confidence), and a 60.42% rise in product exploration (93% confidence), while other variations (VeriSign seal, Twitter follow badge) underperformed, highlighting the value of VWO-enabled, hypothesis-driven testing.
