Adding Extra Information Helped EcoFoil Increase Their Number of Purchases

EcoFoil, a manufacturing company in Urbana, IA and a leading supplier of radiant barrier and foil bubble insulation in North America, faced low conversion because visitors were confused choosing the right insulation product. Their site included a "Need Help Finding The Right Product?" Help section that was buried below the fold, so EcoFoil used VWO’s A/B testing platform to test whether changing the placement would reduce visitor indecision and improve purchases.

Using VWO, EcoFoil (with Clickstop) moved the Help box above the fold into the left sidebar and ran an A/B test against the original design; the variation produced an 86% increase in purchases over the control. EcoFoil reported that VWO was crucial in confirming the hypothesis and delivering a clear, measurable uplift in conversions.
