Case Study: bisco industries doubles conversion and cuts expenses by 90% with VTEX Commerce Cloud

A VTEX Case Study

Preview of the bisco industries Case Study

The one-stop-shop for the modern B2B buyer

bisco industries, a leading global distributor of electronic components, specialty fasteners and hardware with 49 local offices and seven distribution centers, needed to modernize its B2B buying experience and tame a massive catalog (up to 10 million SKUs, 4 million listed at launch) while onboarding 450 supply partners with varied technical capabilities. Facing high ongoing development costs and manual, spreadsheet-driven integrations, bisco industries chose VTEX for its open APIs, vendor onboarding and VTEX IO/Commerce Cloud capabilities to support a composable, multi-tenant SaaS approach.

Using VTEX (implemented with partner Clouda Inc.), bisco industries deployed a headless commerce platform, native catalog integrations, and VTEX’s logistics and pricing modules to automate feeds, provide delivery ETAs and enable advanced B2B features like quoting and price breaks. The results: catalog-driven search and a revamp that boosted conversion by 50% versus the legacy site and ultimately doubled conversions on VTEX, automated Google/Merchant feeds (7,000 products live with a 1M-product goal), dramatically reduced manual work, and a projected cost reduction of up to 90% while improving sales-team efficiency and customer service.
