Payless expands its global reach with VTEX ecommerce

Payless, the long-established footwear retailer, faced the need to modernize and expand its digital presence as online shopping accelerated during the pandemic. To relaunch ecommerce in the US (August 2020) and roll out new LATAM webstores, Payless partnered with VTEX and deployed the VTEX Commerce Platform to enable an agile, omnichannel commerce strategy.

VTEX helped Payless implement omnichannel capabilities—ship-from-store fulfillment, unified inventory, loyalty integration and fast market rollouts—powering new sites in the US and LATAM. The results include steady month-over-month online sales growth and an impressive 500% growth between August and November 2020, reduced delivery times through store fulfillment, and a roadmap to scale ecommerce to roughly 40% of sales, underscoring VTEX’s measurable business impact.
