Case Study: Equinavia achieves streamlined e-commerce operations and cost savings with VTEX

A VTEX Case Study

Preview of the Equinavia Case Study

How Equinavia’s move to VTEX allowed for improved ecommerce capabilities and reduced costs

Equinavia, a 40-year-old Connecticut-based equestrian retailer, faced shrinking margins from high platform fees and numerous third‑party apps on their legacy commerce solution. To support growth and improve profitability, Equinavia moved from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to VTEX, launching the VTEX Commerce Cloud platform in November 2019 to gain a more collaborative, ready‑to‑use ecommerce stack.

VTEX delivered a streamlined solution with built‑in order management, virtual warehouses/docks, improved staging and merchandising, clearer shipping visibility, and fewer third‑party integrations. As a result, Equinavia achieved cost savings by lowering revenue‑share and app expenses, improved order visibility and shipping options (reducing losses on heavy/oversized items), and faster, more reliable site updates—enabling better customer experiences and supporting continued growth with VTEX.
