C&A Fashion retail ecommerce at its finest

C&A, the multinational fast-fashion retailer with over 280 stores in Brazil, faced the challenge of rapidly transforming into a scalable, omnichannel ecommerce business while managing inventory across 10 subsidiary brands and expanding its product assortment. To meet these needs it selected the VTEX Commerce Platform to build a marketplace, streamline catalog and inventory management, and accelerate its digital reach amid changing shopper behavior and pandemic-related store closures.

Using VTEX’s marketplace and commerce capabilities, C&A centralized 150,000 SKUs, automated SKU-to-product matching, and enabled multiple logistics and payment options per store. The VTEX solution delivered clear results: BRL 50 million in online sales in the first year, a 350% sales spike between July–September 2020, a 20x increase in digital revenue over six years, growth from 100 to 300 sellers in four months, and an app that now accounts for over 50% of digital sales — all while maintaining omnichannel operations during lockdowns.
