C&A, a Belgian‑German‑Dutch fast‑fashion retailer operating 295 stores across Brazil, faced the challenge of rapidly digitalizing its business and restructuring inventory to meet changing consumer behavior — a need made urgent by the COVID‑19 pandemic and store closures. To build a scalable ecommerce presence and omnichannel capabilities, C&A selected VTEX as its platform provider in 2014.
VTEX implemented a unified commerce platform with omnichannel features (Pickup Point, Ship‑From‑Store and geolocation checkout), marketplace tools and inventory restructuring to connect all stores and channels. The VTEX solution helped C&A achieve measurable gains — a 20× increase in digital revenue over six years, 350% growth between July and September 2020, and a 3× rise in marketplace sellers in Q4 2020 — driving productivity, growth and a stronger ecommerce business.
