A VPI Case Study
STAT MedEvac, the second-busiest air medical transport program in the United States performing more than 5,500 patient transports per year, needed a dependable digital call and radio logging/voice recording solution to support its mission-critical communications across a tri-state region. Facing hundreds of partner agencies with differing procedures and tedious records retrieval workflows, STAT MedEvac selected VPI’s digital voice recording solution to ensure reliable capture and easy access to telephone and radio communications.
VPI implemented a software-driven digital voice recorder built on Windows and SQL with COTS hardware and an open architecture for flexible integration and low-maintenance operation. The VPI system delivered ultra-reliable recording, faster call retrieval, and simple re-creation and sharing of entire incidents—reducing upkeep time and improving operational efficiency—so much so that STAT MedEvac actively promotes VPI to other emergency service agencies.
