The Winter Garden Police Department, which serves a 16.2 square mile area with about 30,987 residents and staffs 70 sworn officers and 16 civilians, needed a reliable, flexible recording solution to safeguard emergency call records and scale with future needs. To address this challenge they evaluated and selected VPI’s public safety recorder, ultimately purchasing the VPI MAXI system.

VPI implemented an open-architecture, COTS-based recording and archiving solution with unlimited channels and storage, fast retrieval, and PC-certified technician support during installation and training. The VPI system delivered ultra-reliable telephone and radio recordings, lightning-fast incident reconstruction, and freed dispatchers from time-consuming searches and maintenance—resulting in improved response times, higher productivity, and reduced training time.
