RogerVoice Enables Deaf People to Make Voice Calls Using Vonage SMS API

RogerVoice, a telecommunications voice-recognition app for deaf and hard-of-hearing users, needed a way to create a seamless sign-up and calling experience. The challenge was that VoIP calls often showed up as “unknown,” which reduced answer rates and disrupted the user experience. RogerVoice chose Vonage and its SMS API to verify new users’ phone numbers.

Vonage implemented an SMS-based verification flow that sent registrants a unique PIN code to confirm their number and enable Caller ID display. As a result, RogerVoice improved the overall user experience, increased user verifications, and reduced developer resources through the API solution. Vonage also helped RogerVoice support international markets with global scalability.
