Demant is a global leader in hearing healthcare and technology, serving customers in 130 countries with 16,500 employees. Many of its users are elderly or have mobility challenges, and when COVID-19 made face-to-face care impossible, Demant needed to rapidly shift to a remote model to continue fitting and fine-tuning hearing devices without disrupting patient care.
Demant built a mobile remote-consultation solution on the Vonage Communications Platform using Video and SMS APIs to deliver secure video visits, appointment links, reminders and feedback tools. The platform let Demant seamlessly transition to remote delivery, preserve patients’ ability to receive personalized device tuning during the pandemic, and provide a scalable, future-proof foundation for ongoing innovation.
