CommonTime Uses Arts Education to Break Down Barriers Thanks to the Vonage Video API

CommonTime is an online arts learning platform that helps educators, learners, artists, and arts organizations connect through virtual arts education. Its challenge was to build a platform that could meaningfully engage users worldwide and overcome barriers to access, while supporting rich live interaction for music, dance, theatre, and visual arts. CommonTime used the Vonage Video API to make this possible.

By integrating the Vonage Video API, CommonTime created a flexible, browser-based experience with strong audio/video quality and easy collaboration features. The result was a growing global community of 110+ registered artists, 78 educators, and 12 partnered arts organizations across six continents, plus 1,700+ visitors and 6,700 virtual engagements across 108 countries in a single month. Vonage helped CommonTime democratize access to arts education and scale its impact worldwide.
