ScanSource, a global wholesale distributor of point-of-sale, bar-code and other technology solutions, faced increasingly complex pricing and special-pricing agreements that required two to three staff-hours per day to manage. To address this challenge, ScanSource engaged Vistex and adopted the SAP Paybacks and Chargebacks application by Vistex and the SAP Incentive Administration application by Vistex to standardize and simplify pricing and chargeback processes.

Vistex implemented SAP solution extensions and integrated the functionality into ScanSource’s ERP to automate pricing, chargeback and contract tasks. The result: processing and dispute work fell from hours per day to just two to three hours per week—an 80% efficiency gain—while dispute resolution sped up, visibility into authorizations improved, and compliance and accounting risk were reduced.
