Samsung worked with Vistar Media to support the launch of the Galaxy S9 by driving consideration and purchase intent for its mobile phones, while also encouraging store visits to telecom retailers. The challenge was to reach likely upgraders in key markets and influence them at the right moments throughout the day.

Vistar Media used LiveRamp to onboard Samsung’s first-party data, then combined location data and geospatial technology to build an “Upgrader” audience and activate digital out-of-home ads across six DMAs. Vistar Media also ran brand and foot traffic studies to measure impact, and the campaign delivered an 8% lift in consideration, a 6% lift in purchase intent, and a 15% lift in store visits, with mid-campaign optimization helping improve performance across office buildings, billboards, and malls.
