Bauer Media Group New Zealand, the country’s largest magazine publisher, needed to stay highly relevant to consumers and advertisers in a fast-changing media market. To do that, Bauer Media worked with Vision Critical and its Insights IQ community panels to gather ongoing consumer feedback and better understand New Zealanders’ shifting tastes, attitudes, and content interests.
Vision Critical helped Bauer Media use those insights to guide product and content decisions, including testing new ideas, shaping magazine and digital storytelling, and identifying new audience opportunities. The approach supported launches such as Nadia magazine, whose first issue sold out and delivered sales 74% above forecast, and Paperboy, a free premium lifestyle magazine with a print run of 100,000 per week.
