Preview of the British Airways Case Study

British Airways runs Fly at Saatchi Gallery with Virtual Umbrella across 26 Eventbrite pages

The customer, British Airways, presented a challenge requiring specialist technical support for their "BA 2119: Flight of the Future" exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. They needed to ensure the smooth operation of a complex and first-of-its-kind multi-sensory VR experience called 'Fly'. Virtual Umbrella was engaged to provide this crucial operational service.

Virtual Umbrella's solution involved learning to operate and troubleshoot the entire networked system, which included multiple PCs, a custom motion platform, and an Arduino-based multi-sensory system. The vendor managed all customer flow and took responsibility for all customer inquiries on behalf of the project creator and British Airways across 26 event pages. This ensured the experience ran seamlessly for paying customers every 15 minutes throughout the exhibition's daily schedule.
