City of Helsinki reduces manual work and boosts Hitas usability with Vincit

The City of Helsinki partnered with Vincit to address challenges with its outdated Hitas information system, an internal service critical for tracking affordable apartments. The old system was cumbersome for employees to maintain, making data management and communication with residents increasingly difficult.

Vincit designed and developed a modernized system on the Openshift platform within Azure cloud, securing data with the city's own encryption keys. The solution significantly improved usability, consolidated all necessary information into a single place, and greatly reduced manual work for employees. The new system, built to be upgradeable and maintainable, ensures the long-term management of affordable housing in Helsinki.
