VictorOps Delivers Actionable, Real-Time Business Metrics Alerts to Skyscanner’s Teams

Skyscanner, a global travel search engine based in Edinburgh, needed faster, more actionable alerting for both technical and non-technical teams. Although engineering already used CloudWatch and other monitoring tools, legacy email notifications meant squads like Paid Media were often slow to react to service degradations—risking wasted ad spend. To solve this, Skyscanner adopted the VictorOps alerting platform to deliver real-time business- and operational-metric alerts across the organization.

VictorOps was integrated with Skyscanner’s existing tooling and partner APIs (with some Seyren parsing) to route alerts to the appropriate on-call rotations, including the Paid Media squad. The result: users can be onboarded in minutes, Paid Media no longer depends on delayed emails, and teams receive immediate alerts when ROI or service health changes—enabling smarter campaign decisions, faster incident response, and reduced wasted ad spend. VictorOps proved reliable and easy to use even for non‑technical teams.
