Case Study: Skyscanner achieves faster detection and resolution of performance issues with VictorOps

A VictorOps Case Study

Preview of the Skyscanner Case Study

Skyscanner is Flying High with VictorOps and Monitis - VictorOps

Skyscanner, a global travel metasearch headquartered in Edinburgh, was rapidly outgrowing its monitoring tools as it scaled worldwide—processing more than 42,000 events per second across hundreds of services and running 700 uptime and transaction tests to cover APIs, backend health, regional checks and user journeys. To manage the complexity of frequent deployments and global availability monitoring, Skyscanner adopted VictorOps for incident management alongside Monitis for distributed uptime and performance monitoring.

VictorOps was integrated with Monitis to route alerts to the right on‑call responders, add Annotations with external URLs to alerts and shared dashboards, and accelerate incident response workflows. As a result, Skyscanner improved its time to detect and resolve performance issues, ensured consistent global testing (using Monitis’s static test locations and Full Page Load benchmarks) and enabled teams around the world to reliably maintain service availability with VictorOps handling alerting and incident coordination.
