iSelect, an Australian contact center and insurance-comparison business, faced high early attrition among new sales hires and a slow, labor-intensive three-stage recruitment process that relied on résumé review and phone screening but failed to validate the soft skills (resilience, determination, aptitude) they needed. Assessment center no-shows were common and hiring managers lacked confidence that shortlisted candidates truly had the competencies required.

iSelect implemented Vervoe’s skills-assessment platform, involving sales leaders to build role-specific assessments and moving the Vervoe test to the start of hiring so all applicants were evaluated on core competencies before any CV review.
