F45 Training’s Mississauga Downtown studio faced the challenge of hiring skilled, motivated personal trainers without the time-consuming, hit-or-miss screening Doug Watson remembered from corporate recruiting. He turned to Vervoe and its assessment platform to create role-specific evaluations that would identify energy, experience, technical knowledge, and cultural fit for the boutique, high-intensity F45 model.
Vervoe helped implement a two-stage process—a personality-focused simulation (including video responses and streamed song selections) followed by a technical skills assessment—so candidates could be evaluated on real job-relevant tasks. Of 49 applicants who started, 30 completed both simulations, 12 were shortlisted for calls, and Doug hired six trainers, giving F45 Training a repeatable, measurable hiring process that found better-fit candidates more efficiently.
