The Australian Football League (AFL) partnered with Vervoe to improve its graduate hiring process for the AFL Grad Program. Facing high application volumes, the AFL needed a fair, scalable way to assess every applicant on capability rather than relying only on CV screening, while keeping the process candidate-friendly and aligned to its values.

Vervoe helped the AFL build and launch a custom skills-based graduate assessment in under two weeks. The new process drove strong engagement, with more than 1,800 candidates starting the assessment, an 83% invite-to-start ratio, a 97% completion rate, and 4.6/5 candidate satisfaction, giving the AFL clearer signals of candidate quality before assessment day.
