Case Study: DuraVent reduces communications costs with Vertical Communications Wave IP

A Vertical Communications Case Study

Preview of the Putnam Automotive Case Study

Wave IP helps California automotive giant capture more customers and sales

DuraVent, a manufacturing company with facilities in Vacaville, California and Albany, New York, was struggling with an obsolete communications platform that lacked basic features, forced employees to pay long-distance charges to reach colleagues, and could not support better customer service or mobile workers. Vertical Communications was brought in to provide a more affordable, feature-rich alternative with Wave IP and related unified communications tools.

Vertical Communications implemented Wave IP, ViewPoint, ViewPoint Mobile, Call Classifier, and Call Reporting, giving DuraVent integrated voice, voicemail, email access, presence, messaging, and mobility in a single system with one licensing model. The new platform supported about 180 users, eliminated long-distance dialing between sites, improved call handling and inter-office communication, and reduced communications-related operating costs without requiring additional hardware or software licenses.
