FPC Houston, the oldest church in Houston with 3,000 congregants and 50 staff, needed to replace a failing 20-year-old phone system with a modern VoIP solution. As more of the staff worked from home during COVID-19, the church wanted a system that would support remote work without tying people to the building, while still being simple enough for a non-technical team to adopt. Vertical Communications implemented the cloud-based 8x8 X Series with VoIP, unified communications, and video meetings, along with training and support. The church installed 75 lines for 60 users, gained secure video conferencing for up to 500 participants and YouTube streaming, and reported a smooth go-live where everything just worked.
