A Vertical Communications Case Study
I-10 Toyota, an automotive dealership in Indio, California, needed to upgrade aging communications across its two nearby facilities as growth and a major renovation added more staff and increased the need for reliable, mobile, and efficient call handling. Its legacy system suffered from poor voicemail and messaging, no visibility into user availability, and no call routing, which hurt customer service and risked missed sales.
Vertical Communications implemented the Wave IP unified communications platform, using WaveNet to connect both sites and the Automotive Bundle to add dealership-focused tools such as call classification, campaign tracking, and automated appointment reminders while preserving existing Vodavi handsets. The new system improved administration and mobility, helped automate service confirmations and advertising tracking, and let I-10 Toyota cancel a third-party call measurement service, saving about $2,300 to $2,400 per month while boosting customer service and revenue opportunities.
