A Vertical Communications Case Study

Preview of the DuraVent Case Study

DuraVent Gets More Features, Fewer License Fees with Wave IP

DuraVent, a manufacturing company with facilities in Vacaville, California, and Albany, New York, needed to replace an obsolete legacy communications platform that lacked basic features like voice mail and forced employees to pay long-distance charges to reach colleagues across the country. The company wanted a more affordable, feature-rich system that could improve call handling, support customer service, and extend communications to mobile staff, and it turned to Vertical Communications for help, using Wave IP.

Vertical Communications implemented Wave IP along with ViewPoint, ViewPoint Mobile, Call Classifier, and Call Reporting to consolidate voice, email, unified communications, and mobility on a single platform. The solution supported about 180 users, eliminated long-distance calling between sites, improved inbound and outbound call handling, enhanced inter-office communication, and gave mobile personnel full access on iOS and Android devices. DuraVent also reduced communications-related operating costs and lowered total cost of ownership by avoiding extra hardware and incremental license fees.
