Puget Sound Energy partnered with Vertexone to boost enrollment in its energy efficiency programs. Faced with the challenge of matching the right offers to the right customers across about 1.2 million accounts, PSE used Vertexone’s predictive analytics and propensity scoring to identify customers most likely to participate.

Vertexone built statistical models to score every residential customer and ran four champion/challenger pilot campaigns across direct mail, email and outbound calls; targeting high-propensity customers increased offer uptake by 70% and cut cost per enrollment by 40%. Vertexone’s scores have since been integrated across PSE’s marketing and program operations, enabling more efficient spending and better-targeted outreach.
