Pinellas County Utilities, which serves more than 120,000 water and wastewater customers in central Florida, needed to replace a 12-year-old Customer Information System to improve self-service, automate manual collections, speed reporting, and reduce operating costs. They selected Vertexone to deploy a cloud-based CIS solution including VertexOne CIS Enterprise, Customer Advantage and bill/payment services and to migrate their customer base.
Vertexone implemented and now hosts the solution under a 10-year fixed-price agreement, completing deployment in seven months and performing the industry’s first 100% remote go-live during COVID-19 with zero P1 defects. The implementation delivered a modern cloud CIS, automated 100% of manual collections, improved or automated 183 internal processes, added 65+ new or improved features, and reduced time to resolve customer calls by 62%.
