Leading Media & Communications Service Provider needed to rapidly introduce commercial SD‑WAN to compete with costly IP/MPLS offerings, scale to serve mid‑market and enterprise customers, and deliver secure, visible and easily managed services. The project integrated Versa Networks’ secure SD‑WAN technology (alongside Amdocs’ NFV orchestration and other partner VNFs) to provide an automated, application‑aware overlay that leverages broadband and carrier IP backbones as an alternative to MPLS.

The solution bundled Versa Networks’ SD‑WAN controllers and appliances with Amdocs’ orchestration, Fortinet security VNFs and TEOCO assurance to enable catalog‑driven fulfillment, automated VNF onboarding and end‑to‑end service assurance. Using Versa Networks’ platform the operator brought commercial SD‑WAN into production in under seven months, achieved a 65% reduction in the end‑to‑end process, and can support more than 3,000 orders per month without increasing headcount, delivering faster time‑to‑market, lower costs and improved cloud/SaaS performance.
