Preview of the Large Food Retailer Case Study

Large Food Retailer - Customer Case Study

Large Food Retailer, a major quick-serve food retailer in India and nearby markets with thousands of locations, was struggling with frequent link instability, costly dual MPLS connectivity, weak failover, and security gaps across its stores. It evaluated several vendors and chose Versa Networks’ Secure SD-WAN to modernize connectivity across stores, warehouses, regional offices, and its data center.

Versa Networks implemented Secure SD-WAN with Tata Communications as the ISP, using a dual-vendor, dual-ISP approach to reduce risk and improve resiliency. The solution delivered significant cost savings, better uptime, and more flexible connectivity, while also consolidating WAN and security into one platform. In testing, Versa Networks cut order failures from 10–15 per day to just 1–3, improved throughput and stability on lossy links, and helped reduce TCO by replacing dual MPLS with cheaper broadband-based backup options.
