Case Study: Union Bank achieves dramatic robbery reduction and faster investigations with Verint Systems' Nextiva DVR and Vid-Center

A Verint Systems Case Study

Preview of the Union Bank Case Study

Union Bank uses Nextiva to deter threats and robberies in its 337 retail bank branch locations

Union Bank, a full‑service commercial bank with more than 10,000 employees and over 337 branches across the U.S., launched Project S.A.F.E. to reduce robberies and enhance branch security. The initiative required replacing legacy VCR systems, adding controlled entry metal detectors and teller protection, and improving the bank’s ability to deter and respond to incidents quickly.

Verint and integrator New Age Security Systems migrated Union Bank from analog to an IP video solution—deploying 450+ Nextiva NetDVR II and MicroDVR II units with Nextiva Op‑Center and Vid‑Center software in nine months—enabling centralized monitoring, fast digital evidence export, and advanced image enhancement. The result: dramatically reduced robberies and losses, lower total cost of ownership, faster collaboration with law enforcement, and positive feedback from local agencies and the FBI.
