A Verint Systems Case Study
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) runs OIMS, a large web-based Offender Information Management System used daily by 8,000–10,000 users to support parole decisions and offender supervision. After a lengthy rollout, OIMS suffered performance problems and TDCJ’s IT division lacked the visibility and access (complicated by an outsourced data center) needed to isolate root causes and resolve issues.
TDCJ deployed Verint’s Impact 360 Desktop and Process Analytics across hundreds of desktops, using Application Analysis, Application Event Trigger, and Process Discovery to capture real user activity and correlate workflows to system queries. The solution quickly pinpointed and fixed numerous performance issues, reduced error rates, boosted user productivity, enabled reliable pre-production performance testing, and provided accurate time tracking for remote staff — now a standard step before any web application deployment.
