Olympus, a global leader in precision optics and digital imaging, needed a bespoke pan‑European online community to bring photographers together, inspire creativity and drive measurable brand loyalty. The challenge was to build a scalable, multi‑language, mobile‑first platform that integrated with existing IT systems and delivered out‑of‑the‑box engagement features such as points, badges, email digests and moderation tools.

Olympus chose Verint Community and launched MyOlympus, later partnering with 4 Roads to upgrade the platform and develop custom plugins (Instagram and YouTube galleries, photo competitions, Zoom integration, filtered search, events, language detection and enhanced notifications). The result is a thriving community—over 410,000 members, ~263,000 photos shared and ~504,000 monthly page views—that strengthens customer support, builds loyalty and drives ongoing brand engagement.
