Case Study: Kentucky Exposition Center achieves scalable 24x7 video surveillance and rapid incident response with Verint Systems' Nextiva

A Verint Systems Case Study

Preview of the Kentucky Exposition Center Case Study

EMC and Verint team up to provide cutting-edge security surveillance for one of the country’s largest multi-use facilities

The Kentucky Exposition Center, a 1.4 million sq. ft. multi-use complex with over 300 acres of outdoor space and parking for 19,000 vehicles, needed to strengthen security and monitoring across a sprawling, event-driven campus. Monitoring and patrolling such a large facility—home to the State Fair, major shows, arenas and outdoor venues—prompted a pilot surveillance deployment in the South Wing guided by a security design expert.

EMC provided a scalable 3.2 TB CLARiiON CX3 storage platform and Verint supplied Nextiva video management, deployed on a Dell server with 20 fixed and PTZ cameras; installation was completed non-disruptively in just over a month. The system delivers 24x7 recording with 60-day retention, fast video retrieval and analytics-enabled triggers for incident detection, and has proven reliable and scalable—setting the stage to expand coverage across the campus and to a 460,000 sq. ft. sister facility.
