A Verint Systems Case Study
Broadridge is a market‑leading technology services firm for global capital markets that supports proxy services for over 90 million investors, thousands of public companies, and processes trillions in daily trades. Faced with low annual‑meeting attendance, limited constructive board–shareholder dialogue, and concerns about verifying investor identity and privacy on traditional social channels, Broadridge needed a secure, efficient way to engage validated shareholders year‑round.
Broadridge built Shareholder Forum on the Telligent social community platform—an integrated, privacy‑aware venue with Q&A forums, blogs, videos, surveys and analytics that confirms shareholder status while allowing anonymous posts with share‑range reporting. The Forum drove markedly higher participation (Broadridge’s 2010 meeting had ~180 virtual attendees vs. fewer than 10 in 2008), increased questions and online voting, reduced meeting costs, improved investor outreach and provided boards with actionable sentiment and segment insights.
