A Verint Systems Case Study
First Interstate Bank, an $8.6 billion community bank with more than 80 branches across Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota, faced rising fraud and security challenges compounded by inconsistent video quality, slow and complex search processes, and ongoing geographic growth. The bank needed a scalable, centralized surveillance solution that could improve investigations, protect cash-handling and ATM areas, and support continued expansion without disrupting existing analog investments.
First Interstate deployed Verint’s video and situation intelligence platform—including EdgeVR recorders, EdgeVMS Vid‑Center and IP/360º cameras—using a hybrid analog/IP approach to phase in upgrades. The system delivered higher image clarity, faster searches and simple video export for law enforcement, centralized management across branches, better bandwidth use and streamlined investigations, reducing liability and positioning the bank to add analytics and facial-recognition tools as it grows.
