APAN improves HADR collaboration with Verint Community, growing to 2,500+ communities

The All Partners Access Network (APAN), an information-sharing service for the U.S. Department of Defense, needed a flexible and scalable Web 2.0 platform to quickly set up collaborative online communities for military exercises and disaster response training. Their challenge was to coordinate thousands of participants and simulate real-life crisis scenarios with tools that could adapt to rapidly changing requirements. APAN turned to Verint Systems for a solution using the Verint Community platform.

By implementing Verint Community, APAN gained forums, blogs, wikis, and media galleries to improve real-time information sharing and collaboration. This enabled them to successfully manage large-scale events, such as the RIMPAC exercise, with over 2,750 participants. The solution resulted in the creation of more than 2,500 communities, providing a far better way to communicate critical information, ensure quick response times, and train responders on the same tools used in actual disaster events.
