Case Study: Intersect ENT achieves streamlined, unified clinical operations and faster study builds with Veeva Systems’ Vault EDC

A Veeva Systems Case Study

Preview of the Intersect Ent Case Study

Implementing a New Clinical Systems Strategy

Intersect ENT is a medical device company focused on advancing ENT treatments (founded 2003, ~325+ employees) with products like PROPEL and Sinuva and roughly two studies a year. Clinical operations were strained by team members wearing multiple hats, compressed protocol cycles and timelines, and fragmented manual processes across EDC, CTMS, eTMF and payments — creating a need for greater efficiency, faster EDC builds and more intuitive solutions.

The company adopted a unified-cloud approach with Veeva (starting from Vault PromoMats and piloting Vault EDC) and executed a device study rollout from February to September, achieving go‑live and database lock. Results included a common interface across Vault applications, positive site feedback, continued product innovation and improved operational efficiency, while lessons highlighted early-adopter trade-offs (missing features and expectation management) as they continue unifying clinical systems.
