GSK needed to modernize clinical data management after COVID-19 exposed the limits of its highly customized, multi-EDC environment. With Veeva Systems, using Veeva Clinical Data, GSK set out to simplify operations, adopt better technology enablers, and speed study delivery across its clinical portfolio.

Veeva Systems helped GSK move to a single core CDM platform that aggregates and harmonizes data from EDC, imaging, eSource, ePRO, local labs, and more. Using an agile approach, the team completed the transformation in 18 months—about half the expected time—and GSK said it now aims to improve delivery by 50% to 60% versus industry benchmarks, with faster data cleaning, reconciliation, and time to insights.
