A Veeva Systems Case Study
Eisai Inc., the U.S. arm of global pharmaceutical Eisai Company Ltd., needed to replace multiple aging on‑premise sales support systems used by 700+ users across primary care, specialty care, and managed markets in the U.S. and Canada. A mix of homegrown coaching, reporting and targeting tools plus an inflexible client/server SFA was costly to maintain, difficult to change, and no longer met Eisai’s needs for new functionality, flexibility, and usability.
Eisai selected cloud‑based Veeva CRM with its VInsights analytics module to consolidate three systems into a single, scalable solution, with go‑live planned for January 2012. The cloud deployment removed the need for hardware/software purchases and maintenance, provided transparent upgrades, and delivered richer functionality and usability while reducing cost and complexity—improving user adoption and sales effectiveness across Eisai’s commercial teams.
