Belgium’s Leader in Integrated Telecommunications Uses the Veeam Management Pack to Monitor VMware in Microsoft System Center

Belgacom, Belgium’s leading integrated telecommunications provider, needed to monitor a large, complex VMware estate that supports mission-critical services—more than 30 clusters, 150 ESXi hosts, ~1,100 Windows VMs, 600 Linux VMs and 900 Windows clients. Already invested in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), the IT team sought a SCOM-integrated VMware monitoring solution that would handle a multi-vendor hardware environment and scale to enterprise demands.

They chose Veeam Management Pack for VMware for its hardware-agnostic, distributed architecture and enterprise features. Veeam integrated vCenter, VM and host performance, configuration and capacity data into SCOM, providing proactive alerts (datastore latency/free-space, VDI-wide CPU issues, unexpected reboots) and a single-pane-of-glass view across physical and virtual layers.
