Edmentum, a leading provider of online learning programs, faced complex Salesforce data-quality challenges across sales, service, support, marketing, finance and product teams. With three Salesforce admins, about 400 users, roughly 3.25 million accounts and more than 3 million contact records (many duplicates), Edmentum relied on Validity’s DemandTools to manage deduplication, imports, standardization and record linking.
Validity’s DemandTools—using MassEffect for bulk imports/updates, MassImpact for standardization, and Find/Report IDs plus dedupe/merge modules for matching and linking—enabled Edmentum to reduce contacts from over 3 million to 1.5 million, correctly associate vendor contracts during a SharePoint-to-Salesforce migration, and run twice-yearly merges to prevent duplicate creation. The outcome was stronger cross-departmental data integrity, faster processing (saving days of admin work), clear ROI and improved work/life balance for CRM staff.
