Emarsys Senders Experience Improvement Using Certification

Emarsys, the largest independent marketing platform working with more than 1,500 brands worldwide, needed to validate whether Validity’s Certification program was the right solution for its senders. While Certification is known to boost inbox placement, Emarsys wanted an independent, robust analysis of how Certification affected engagement (opens and clicks) beyond delivery alone, controlling for content, segmentation, timing and other variables.

Validity collaborated with Emarsys to analyze 20 Certified email programs across three continents over a six‑month period (Certification activated at midpoint). Post‑Certification, average open rates rose 27% and click rates rose 35% overall, while Emarsys “best fit” senders saw opens up 45% and clicks up 74%; estimated revenue uplift was £26,250 per 1M emails overall and £55,500 per 1M for best‑fit senders. Validity’s Certification also delivered dramatic inbox placement improvements (example: 37% to 97%), improving deliverability and program revenue.
