BA Information Technology, part of the German Federal Employment Agency (BA), needed to standardize a highly complex and heterogeneous IT environment with an integrated solution for IT budgeting, cost and performance accounting, costing, forecasting, and medium-term planning. It turned to USU Solutions and its USU IT Service Management software to support a central, up-to-date data basis and end-to-end financial management processes.

USU Solutions implemented FINMAN on USU IT Service Management with workshops, prototyping, and step-by-step rollout of the budgeting, accounting, and costing modules, plus training and ongoing enhancements. The result was greater transparency across all stakeholders, faster identification of control needs, improved data quality, reduced manual effort, and a centralized IT financial management system that supports BA’s planning and reporting across 160,000 PC workstations, 9,000 servers, and 120 in-house IT processes.
