Kaboom is a leading free-to-play core games publisher — seven of its titles each gross more than $1M/month and players average over two hours of play a day. Facing the freemium challenge of keeping highly engaged mobile users from churning, Product Marketing Manager Leonardo Bianchi needed a seamless, in‑app way to capture ideas and feedback that could be acted on and tied directly to the product roadmap.
Kaboom implemented UserVoice’s in‑app SDK and social feedback forum, committed to including user input in releases, and began reporting impact to executives. The result: hundreds of thousands of ideas and supporters — the top two communities produced 21,000 ideas and 230,000 supporters in a year — and per‑game community activity rose from 3–5 ideas/week to about 200 contributions and 5,000 votes weekly, with community managers and product teams using the insights to drive releases.
