Case Study: Adobe improves Photoshop user experience with UserTesting

A UserTesting Case Study

Preview of the Adobe Case Study

How direct feedback from users helps Adobe improve its iconic Photoshop product

Adobe needed to improve a newly launched Photoshop image extraction feature after usage data and forum posts showed that customers were confused and struggling with it. Although Adobe was already gathering feedback from online forum users, the input was skewed toward experienced customers and did not fully explain the problems most Photoshop users were having.

Using UserTesting, Adobe could better understand how a broader range of customers interacted with the feature and why they were getting stuck. UserTesting helped Adobe identify the issues more clearly so the team could make faster, more meaningful revisions within its 10-week development cycle, improving the feature experience and reducing the risk of disruption for users.
