A Updox by EverHealth Case Study
WAFCC (the Wisconsin Association of Free and Charitable Clinics) is a non-profit serving the under- and uninsured across Wisconsin, including many Spanish-speaking patients; when pandemic-driven social distancing forced a rapid shift to remote care, WAFCC needed a HIPAA-compliant, flexible hub-and-spoke telehealth solution to transition its network of clinics. They selected Updox and its Telehealth platform to meet those requirements.
Updox implemented a purpose-built Telehealth platform with scheduling, texting, and digital forms, helping WAFCC streamline intake, coordinate statewide scheduling, and support behavioral health outreach. As a result, WAFCC moved its clinics to remote care, increased engagement with ESL patients, enabled statewide access to three newly hired Spanish-speaking counselors, and reported ongoing efficiency gains and improved behavioral-health reach using the Updox platform.
