Ramen VR - Customer Case Study

Ramen VR, an all-remote game studio, set out to build Zenith: The Last City, a high-performance cross-platform VR MMO for PlayStation VR, PS VR2, Quest, Rift, and SteamVR. The team faced the challenge of making a large, ambitious online game in VR with a small team and the need to support multiple platforms reliably. Unity provided the development foundation, including tools such as URP, DOTS, and Unity Version Control.

With Unity, Ramen VR built an optimized, scalable workflow for creating and managing Zenith’s content and code. Unity Version Control helped eliminate project data loss and made collaboration easier for artists and engineers, while Unity’s performance tools supported smooth multiplayer gameplay across platforms. The result was a breakout launch that reached the #1 spot on Quest and Steam, was built by just 15 people at launch, and helped Ramen VR raise over $45M in funding to date.
